This bareback pad adds a little cushion and a lot of extra grip on both sides to help make bareback riding a little more comfortable for horse and rider.
Perfect for the rider who prefers a closer connection with their horse than a saddle allows but still wants to cushion the spine from the pressure of seat bones. Bareback pads help riders young and old develop better balance and core muscle strength. Many of the therapeutic benefits of riding, which are useful to even healthy riders, are maximized when equipment is minimized.
For safety, since this pad is not a saddle and does not include a tree to stabilize it over the horse's back, this bareback riding pad does not include stirrups. A leather grip strap is attached to the front of the pad to help a rider stabilize themselves.
