These bit loops, available in three colors to match nearly any bridle, are used to attach the upper cheek of a full cheek bit solidly to the cheek piece of the bridle.
Bit loops are essential to stabilize the mouthpiece of a full cheek in a horse's mouth. Most horses carry their head more quietly and respond to softer cues when a full cheek bit is stabilized from rotating in the mouth. Bit loops also prevent the upper part of the cheek of a full cheek bit from snagging on clothing, the nostril, reins, etc.
